RefPack docs
RefPack checks each cited statement in your manuscript against the PDF it cites. You decide every finding, and RefPack turns your decisions into a reference pack your reviewer can open.
How RefPack works
A project has three steps.
- Prepare. Add the manuscript and its reference PDFs. RefPack finds each cited statement and matches each reference to its PDF. You correct anything it got wrong.
- Review. Check each statement against the passage in its source and decide: approve, reject or source not available. An optional AI search suggests the passage for you.
- Deliver. Preview the pack, confirm the declaration and create the reference pack.
What you need
- A Mac with Apple silicon or a Windows 11 PC, with Google Chrome.
- The RefPack desktop app. It reads your files and stores your projects on your computer.
- Your manuscript as a PDF with selectable text, and the PDFs of the references it cites.
- For AI search, which is optional: your own API key, or a plan with RefPack-funded searches.
Where your files go
RefPack reads your files and stores your projects on your computer. Nothing is sent to an AI provider until you start an AI search. Before anything is sent, RefPack shows what will be sent and where, and asks you to confirm. Data and privacy has the details.
